The club

Midweek cricket in and around Oxford since 1989.

Heinemann Cricket Club was formed in 1989 at Heinemann Publishing and has played friendly midweek cricket in and around Oxford ever since: one evening a week from May to September, usually a Tuesday or Wednesday, starting at six. Home matches are at Brasenose College Sports Ground; away matches take the club to village and club grounds across Oxfordshire.

The club has a broad mix of ages and abilities. It is not league cricket, but everyone is expected to bat, bowl or field to a reasonable standard. There are modest match fees and annual subscriptions to cover ground hire and equipment. Paul Shuter has kept the scores and statistics throughout, which is why the records on this site go back so far.
